Assigning Custom Tags In Play-Based Sports

After your custom tags have been created, and after you have configured your grid to allow you to access them, you can assign your custom tags to game events.

If you need help creating custom tags for your play-based sport, please see this article here

If you need help configuring the 'Grid View' of your play-based sport, please see this article here

For these examples, I'm going to be using the sample tags created in the 'Creating Custom Tags In Play-Based Sports' article (found at that first link, above).

ASSIGNING CUSTOM TAGS:

TEXT TAGS:

Simply click into the 'Text Tag' box that corresponds to the clip you wish to assign the text tag to, enter any bit of text you wish, and press the Enter/Return key (or click anywhere outside the box) to save the data to the tag.  Repeat this process for each clip you want to assign a text tag to.

(One excellent way to quickly skip from box to box assigning data is to use the 'Tab' key.  Pressing 'Tab' saves the value/data assigned to the current tag and forwards you to the next cell.)

NUMBER TAGS:

Similar to Text Tags, Number Tags are assigned by clicking into the 'Number Tag' box that corresponds to the clip you wish to assign the number tag to.  Enter the number(s) you wish, and press the Enter/Return key (or click anywhere outside the cell) to save the tag.  Repeat this process for each clip you want to assign a number tag to.

(Again, an excellent way to quickly skip from box to box assigning data is to use the 'Tab' key.  Pressing 'Tab' saves the value/data assigned to the current tag and forwards you to the next cell.)

LIST TAGS:

When you click into the 'List Tag' box, a dropdown arrow is presented to you.  Clicking on this will pull up the list of attribute options you can set for the tag.  Clicking on one of them will assign that option to the tag.  Pressing 'Tab' will save the value/data assigned to the current 'active' cell and forward you to the next cell.

ATHLETE ROSTER TAGS:

Similar to a 'List Tag', clicking into the 'Athlete Roster Tag' box will present a dropdown arrow that, when clicked upon, will allow you to select an athlete from your roster and assign that athlete to the clip.  If you have the opposing team's roster entered, you can select from their roster as well (In Conference / SCHEDULES games, this option will rely on the opposing team having entered their roster).

For help with entering an opposing team's roster, please see this article here.

Pressing 'Tab' will save the value/data assigned to the current 'active' cell and quickly forward you to the next cell.

TEAM NAME TAGS:

Similar to a 'List Tag' and 'Athlete Roster' tag, double-clicking into the 'Team Name Tag' box will present a dropdown arrow that, when clicked upon, will allow you to assign either your team name or the opposing team's name to the clip.  Pressing 'Tab' will save the value/data assigned to the current 'active' cell and quickly forward you to the next cell.

NOW THAT YOUR TAGS ARE SET...

...it is time to put them to work.  For help on searching/filtering for your custom tags, please see this article here.
