'Manage Intercut' is the tool you use to "line up" the multi-angle clips of your play-based game. With it, you can move clips around, delete clips, and arrange your game's clips into the proper running order.
To begin, choose one of your multi-angle game in 'VIDEOS'. It does not need to have been logged, but it does need to have been clipped:
When the game opens, click on the 'Edit' button on the left side of the screen, directly underneath the video player screen. Select the 'Manage Intercut' option:
Your Manage Intercut workstation displays and allows access to all facets of your multi-angle game:
A - SELECT DISPLAYED ANGLES Our video editor supports up to four angles of footage in a game; in your Manage Intercut workstation, you can view and access two at once. By default, the 'sideline' and 'endzone' angles of the game will be loaded in as the first and second angles (if one or both of those views is empty, there will be 'filler' placeholder clips instead of video footage). If you wish to work on uploaded angles other than those currently loaded in, click in the 'First Angle' and 'Second Angle' dropdown boxes and choose your desired angle(s). Press the 'Reload Angles' button to load in your newly chosen angles.
B - VIDEO SCREENS When playing the footage, the 'First Angle' and 'Second Angle' chosen above will display on the two video screens. The first angle will display on the left side of the screen; the second angle will display on the right. Both angles of footage can be played concurrently.
C - PLAYCLIPS This vertical column displays the list of playclips that comprise your game. If game data has been added to those clips, it will display and can be used to 'navigate' your way through the game (useful if there's a specific point in the game you want to work on).
D - 'FIRST ANGLE' CLIPS The actual clips of footage in the selected 'First Angle' are displayed in this vertical column. If a clip is present, you will see a 'play button' icon and a video clip ID number; if there is no clip present for this playclip, there will be a 'filler' marker in this spot.
E - 'SECOND ANGLE' CLIPS The actual clips of footage in the selected 'Second Angle' are displayed in this vertical column. If a clip is present, you will see a 'play button' icon and a video clip ID number; if there is no clip present for this playclip, there will be a 'filler' marker in this spot.
ARRANGING THE CLIPS:
Drag & Drop - You can click on a video clip, hold your mouse button down, and drag that clip to another spot in the list of clips.
Add 'Filler' Clips / Delete Clips -
Below the column headers 'playclips', 'selected first angle' ('sideline', in the photo above), and 'selected second angle' ('endzone' in the photo above), there are three buttons: 'above', 'below', and 'delete'.
Pressing 'above' will add a 'filler' space into the column above the currently selected clip (essentially 'pushing' the selected clip and all those below it down one spot).
Pressing 'below' will add a 'filler' space into the column below the currently selected clip (essentially 'bumping' all the video clips in the column below the selected clip down one spot).
Pressing 'delete' will delete the selected clip. There will be a pop-up window that opens and asks for confirmation before deleting the selected clip.
Using these tools, you play the clips of each angle and move, add, or remove filler spaces or clips to match up your video footage. Save your work often.
PLAYING CLIPS
To play clips, simply press on the 'play button' icon of the clip and angle you're wanting to watch:
The clip will play in the viewscreen above. Other viewscreen controls include (A) a clip volume slider bar, (B) a 'full screen' button (to enlarge the video screen), and (C) a 'download clip' button.
SAVING YOUR WORK
Until you press either the 'Save' or 'Save and Close' buttons in the lower right corner of the Manage Intercut workstation, your work HAS NOT been saved. Closing out the workstation without saving will result in all of your hard work being lost. Please save your work.
